It all started when...

M.T. Imports, Inc. was incorporated in 1993 in Colorado. It started its activity becoming the distributor of Vampire, an Italian skiwear line, inspired by the classic style of skiing in the 1950s. Shortly thereafter, M.T. Imports, Inc. introduced to the US market the innovative style of Napapijri Geographic. In the following years, other Italian brands were introduced to the US market: Think Pink, Dolomite, Permanent Vacation, 40weft, Hell is for Heroes, Colmar & Colmar Originals, Parajumpers and now Montura in 2020.

The original Valbruna store opened in Vail in 1998 and the retail division expanded in 2000 and 2001 to 4 locations: the original Vail store, the Aspen store featuring a full Italian espresso, wine and food bar, the San Francisco store and the Denver store in Cherry Creek. M.T. Imports refocused on North America distribution and Valbruna flagship store in Vail is now the only retail location.

The travel division operates annual ski trips, since 2004, to the Italian Alps, in Valbruna and Cortina and summer outdoor adventure trips, cycling and mountain biking tours, culinary trips and yoga and hiking retreats, all focused in the Valbruna area of Friuli.

A&M LLC is the hospitality branch of M.T. Imports Inc. and operates the Valbruna Inn in Italy, Hotel Minturn and the Minturn Inn in Minturn, Colorado.
